Next major release version 4.0 will have stable support for multiple external user directories. At the minimum, the following new user directories will be included (in alphabetical order):

1. Apple ID

2. Facebook

3. Google

4. Microsoft Account (consumer-grade)

5. Microsoft Azure AD

6. MPASSid (OpenID Connect based variant)

7. Trivore ID (Trivore Identity Service)

8. Generic OIDC (OpenID Connect)

9. Generic SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language)

The generic user directories add the capability to add corporate private and custom user directories.

In addition to features listed above, there is a technological change: Java version 11 will be used instead of Java version 8 starting version 4.0.
