Introduction for the Device Owner

As a device owner, you are about to connect your own or issued device or devices to the EMM service. The EMM service lets your organisation set security policies and encryption for your device, and install any necessary applications.

The self-service portal offers essential security services, such as locating or locking a lost device, or wiping a stolen device entirely. You can also install apps and see diagnostic information about the devices.

To manage the devices, you need to:

  • Have your devices configured to use the service
  • Use the Self-Service Portal to control your device remotely

How your devices are configured depends on whether you are a personal subscriber or a member or employee of an organisation, and whether it is your own device or company device. If it is your own, you need to install the EMM client to each of the devices according to instructions from your organisation.
