Account Templates
User accounts are created using a template that can define any presets for new accounts. Therefore, at least one template is needed for each account type (end user, manager, and resource) to be created. Nevertheless, a template does not have to make any presets.
Account templates are managed in Accounts→Templates, which displays the list of current account templates and allows adding, editing, and removing them.
Templates must be compliant with organisation policies and other settings, described in Basic Organisation Settings.
See the following video for an introduction into creating a user account template. In the video, we show an example of how to create a template for delivery workers at a specific location. We use an organisation unit to define the address information. In the template, we go through some typical settings.

Creating a Template
To create a new template:
- Click New in the view toolbar
- Click either End user, Manager, or Resource to create a template of that type
- Edit the template as you would edit the account settings for the particular user type. Any settings set will be used when creating a new account.For

- Click Save & close to save the new template
Editing a Template
You can edit templates as follows:
- Select the template to edit by clicking it in the list
- Click Edit in the view tool bar or select Edit in the context menu (right mouse button).
- After editing, click either Save & close to save the changes or Cancel to exit without saving.
Removing Templates
You can edit templates as follows:
- Either
- Select the template to edit by clicking it in the list and click Edit in the view tool bar
- Right-click on a template row to open the context menu and select Edit in the context menu
- Confirmation dialog will pop up
- Carefully review the account you are about to remove
- Click Remove to remove it or Cancel to abort
Account Template Event Log
You can view a log of template events, such as creation or modification, by opening the context menu by right-clicking on a template row and selecting Log.
The log displays events for the selected template.
