Accounts
There are three types of user accounts in an organization: users (device owners), managers, and resources.
Device Owners
Normally, the vast majority of accounts are device owner users, who have one or more devices, such as mobile phones. Users are described in User Accounts (Device Owners).
Organisation Managers
Organisation managers are responsible for creating, modifying, and deleting different types of user accounts and devices, as well as making other settings for the organisation. Normally there are only one or a few managers in one organization and you can limit what they can do by giving them only necessary rights in the preferences. This way you can create tailored manager accounts for different purposes, such as support personnel at helpdesk, reporting, etc. It is possible to partly or fully outsource manager duties to an external party. Managers are described in Manager Accounts.
Resources
Resources are special accounts that can be accessed by many users. The most common use is sharing certain data between users, such as an address book or a calendar. Resources are described in Resource Accounts.
Accounts are created from templates, which allows defining basic settings such as access rights or locale settings. You can have different initial settings for different user groups by having templates for each of them. Templates are described in Account Templates.
