Other Reports
The Other tab allows generating some general reports.
The reports are as follows:
General report
The general report gives statistics about various system events that have occurred.
You can specify a time range for the report with the From and To fields on the top. The first selection box on the left allows quickly selecting a time range: Today, This week, This month, This year, Last week, Last month, or Last year.
Otherwise, the general report is a normal report with standard controls, as described in Reports.
The columns are as follows:
Organization
Name of the organisation that row is referring to.
Subject
Subject name of the counter.
Value
Counter value for how many times an event has been occurred.
Master/Vendor
SMS requests and delivery reports
This report contains information about the SMS traffic that has been processed within the specified time.
SMS request and delivery traffic reports can be viewed by using the SMS requests and delivery reports dialog.
The rows of the report are SMS request events as well as delivery reports.
Filtering
You can filter the report with the following controls:
Organisation
Select the organisation which messages are shown or Any organisation to show them all. Certain messages are sent as system messages (_SYSTEM) and not associated with an organisation.
From and To
Start and end date/time for the report.
Search
Enter text to search in the message fields.
List Columns
The columns in the view are as follows:
Date/Time
The date and time when the message was processed.
Organisation
The organisation associated with the message or _SYSTEM for messages that are not associated with an organisation.
Device
Shows the ID of the processing device.
Receiver
Shows the the receiver of the message.
Gateway
Shows the SMS gateway that was used for processing the message.
Description
Descriptive type name of the message. For example, OTAMessage means an SMS message containing Over-The-Air message contents.
Message type
Type of the message content. This can be, for example, BINARY_8_BIT, when message was coded in binary format.
Status
Current status of the message delivery. A message is first delivered to SMSC (Short Message Service Center) and then to phone. You can view the details of delivery in the SMS request & delivery details view.
SMS request & delivery details
To view further details for an SMS request, select it and click Show details. The SMS request & delivery details window will open.
The detail properties are divided into the following sections.
SMS request information
This section gives the details about the original request. Some of the properties are the same as given in the list columns.
The properties are as follows:
Message UUID
This is the universally unique identifier (UUID) of the request. If two or more rows have the same UUID and Expect DLR is true, then the first one is the request and others are reports about how is the request succeeded.
Organisation
Select the organisation which messages are shown or Any organisation to show them all. Certain messages are sent as system messages (_SYSTEM) and not associated with an organisation.
Device
Specifies the ID of the receiving device (usually a phone).
Receiver
Specifies the the receiver of the message.
Message type
Type of the message content. This can be for example BINARY_8_BIT, when message was coded in binary format.
Message class
SMS message class 0 to 3
- Class 0: To display (flash) – the message is only displayed and not saved
- Class 1: Message is to be stored
- Class 2: Message carries SIM card data
- Class 3: Forwarded to an external device
Description
Descriptive type name of the message. For example OTAMessage means SMS message containing Over-The-Air message contents.
Message count
The number of messages sent during the process.
Text content
Click Show to view the text content of the message.
Latest transport details
This section gives details about the latest transport.
The properties are as follows:
Gateway
Specifies the SMS gateway that was used for processing the SMS message.
Date/time
Date and time when the message has been processed.
Sent successfully
Yes if the message was sent successfully.
Expect DLR
Yes if the message expects an answer (a DLR or Delivery Report) to the request. If no, no delivery reports are expected.
Response details
Clicking the Show response link opens a pop-up window showing the actual response.
Delivery reports
The Delivery reports section displays all delivery reports for the message.
If the Expect DLR (expect a delivery report) above is false, only the initial report is shown.
The columns are:
Date/time
Date and time when the message has been processed.
DLR value
State of the delivered message.
SMSC Reply
Reply from the short message service center.
Event log
The event log is the full system log that you can filter by date and with various filters. It is described in Log Sub-System.
