THIS IS NOW IN THE PARENT PAGE Applications.

In order to create a new installable application for your devices, press the New button. First, you should enter the software name and version.

If you wish for the application to be installable, make sure that software status is set to Active. You can also define whether the application is indeed an application, or just supplementary data.

The download URL is also needed.

 

If you wish to create a custom message, you can enter it here. In most cases, the basic (default) one is good enough.

Software description is not required, but suggested. ”Valid from” and ”Valid to” dates are required.

Once done, press Save & close to save the application.

 

Note:

Inactive applications (ie. status Inactive, validFrom pending, or validTo passed) do not appear at Tasks - Install application popup dialog as installable applications.

 

Warning:

S60 3rd edition devices may have problems with installing .sis packages. Try using .sisx packages instead.
