Setup User Account Templates (Obsolete)

There has to be at least one user account template in organisation.

When new user accounts are created, some settings are copied from a template to the new user's settings.

This means, the template needs to have settings which are compliant with organisation policies (see here for: Setup Policies for Organisation). 

Templates are preset settings for new user, manager and resource accounts. They are good when some settings are common to many users, and can carry those settings when creating new account, manager, or resource.

To setup new Account Templates, go to Accounts on the main page and click on Templates as shown above. 

  • Click on Newbutton to create a new template, a pop-up window should be displayed, a statement about type of template to create is also displayed along with different types of Accounts templates available (End user, Manager, Resource)

  • Select an account type to create, in this case - End User. Each type contains exactly same information fields (and tabs) than specified type has in normal management section.

Preferences is for the following: 

  • End user: Refer to user accounts chapter.

  • Manager: Refer to manager accounts chapter.

  • Resource: Refer to resource accounts chapter.

Click on the End-User button, a New End User Template window will be displayed. Follow the setup instructions on the Initial Setup Tasks for New Organisations > Setup other Organisation Managers to define settings if desired, and save template.
