Setup iOS for Oraganisation (Obsolete)

This content is covered in Android Settings.

Apple iOS requires some organisation specific one-time setup.

It requires a one-time setup before such devices can be deployed to the organisation.

Define the Setup for Apple iOS Configuration for Organization through the following steps.

Step 1: First, make sure platform options are as needed for a new organisation, the defaults settings should be okay (preferable option).

The Platform Settings are configured by a supervisor's account and are shared by all Organizations. However, some organisations might have special needs. An example is defining company applications by adding applications from application store for Apple iOS device. An affirmative one (and probably the only one) is selecting a custom WSDM client app. That would mean adding that app via the Applications view, then going to Platforms view, Apple iOS tab, un-selecting "Use system wide settings", selecting the app in the WSDM Client dro-down and save. Other options here can be left as they are (empty).

Check the following for further information on setting the custom WSDM client appApplications > New Application. Other settings on the Application Platform can also be configured.

Step 2: Prepare a device template. Follow the instructional steps on Initial Setup Tasks for New Organisations > Setup Device Templates pages to define the device template settings. In this case, a you will create a device template with Platform value "Apple iOSas compared to the settings in the instruction in through the link by replacing settings where appropriate i.e Selecting Apple iOS as the Platform value from the drop down list. Leave other values with default values or customize as needed for specific purposes.

For other platforms the above is true but some additional steps may be needed to enable some features. See manager for details.
