AET Configuration

AETs or Application Enrollment Tokens are used for distributing enterprise applications to certain Windows phones directly and privately, without using the Windows Phone Store. The functionality requires a Company Hub app, as well as generating and distributing AETs to employee phones, which is defined with an AET configuration.

AET configuration is needed if and only if:

  • Your organisation  has Windows 8, 8.1, or 10 Mobile devices, and

  • The Company Hub app (exact app depends on the vendor) is installed in the phones.

In such a case, you need to add a new configuration as follows:

  1. Click on AET configuration on the organization page as shown below.


  2. Click Add, and a new configuration is immediately created, with details shown on the right-side panel.

  3. In the defails, define:

  •  

    • Name for the configuration

    • AET file, which you need to upload from a chosen local directory

Under the download button, you can review the AET details (they can not be edited):

  •  

    • Enterprise ID

    • Validity date

    • Certificate (to be generated by default)

To remove an AET configuration, select it and click Remove.
